Your holiday awaits

Steeped in history and reimagined in luxury, Chante Mer is a truly one-of-a-kind absolute beachfront retreat on the pristine shores of Racecourse Beach. Once home to a French cultural delegate and celebrated published author, this architecturally designed residence has long been a place where creativity, elegance, and the rhythm of the ocean converge.

Following an extensive luxury renovation completed in 2025, Chante Mer now offers four beautifully appointed bedrooms, each with its own breathtaking ocean view, alongside a huge entertaining deck made for long lunches and golden sunsets. With the sand literally at your doorstep, this is a home that leaves a lasting impression, just as it always has.

Floorplan

  • Small, intimate moments with your booked guests - absolutely. Large parties or events - no. We respect our neighbours and the peaceful setting.

  • Chante Mer sits at the heart of one of the South Coast's most beloved regions, with everything you need just minutes away.

Mollymook Beach, one of the coast's most iconic stretches of sand, is just a 10 minute drive up the road, while Cupitt's Winery is only 9 minutes away. This award winning family estate offers cellar door tastings and a restaurant, making it the perfect spot for a long, leisurely afternoon in the countryside.

For a change of pace, the local berry farm makes for a wonderful outing where you can pick fresh blueberries straight from the bush. Nature lovers will also want to venture to the famous shallow inland crossing, a hidden local gem where you can wade through calm, crystal clear waters surrounded by beautiful bushland.

And as the sun dips toward the horizon, keep your eyes on the water. This stretch of coast is a popular corridor for migrating humpback whales, and a sighting is something guests never forget
